A pavilion for underwater filming will be opened at the Moskino film Factory

In 2026, it is planned to complete the creation of a creative cluster at the Moskino film factory. A unique pavilion for underwater filming, a digital arena for multi-format events and a technology and innovation center will be built on the territory, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.

"We will continue to further strengthen the position of the capital as the leader of the domestic film industry and the center of world—class film production," Sobyanin emphasized in the MAX messenger.

In total, 870 projects of various formats were implemented at the venues of the Moscow Film Cluster and on the streets of the capital in 2025, an increase of 38% compared to the previous year. Among the key achievements, the mayor named the release of the first feature film produced by Gorky Film Studio with city support, as well as the completion of the second stage of construction of the Moskino film Park.

Also in 2025, the Moscow International Film Week was held at the film Factory, which brought together more than 700,000 participants and over 150 delegates from more than 20 countries. In addition, four cinemas of the Moskino chain will be operational in 2025: Mars in the Altufyevsky district, Dawn in Koptev, Elbrus in Tsaritsyn and Neva in Levoberezhny.

New filming pavilions, an updated cinema hall, and a costume and props center were put into operation at the Gorky Film Studio's historic site on Sergei Eisenstein Street. There was also a design of LED screens with a total area of over 300 square meters. m, designed to create scenes using virtual production technology.

This year, it is planned to complete the modernization of the film studio on Sergei Eisenstein Street, Sobyanin noted. After that, the total area of the existing pavilions of the film factory will grow more than 10 times and reach 106 thousand square meters. m.
