A meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the first International Transport and Logistics Forum was held at the site of the Government of the Russian Federation. During the meeting, which was held by Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Saveliev, key organizational issues related to the preparation of the forum, the formation of a business program, work with participants and partners, as well as issues of infrastructure and information support were considered.
The first International Transport and Logistics Forum will be held from April 1-3 in St. Petersburg at the Expoforum Exhibition Center. The organizer is the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the operator is the Roscongress Foundation, with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation. The MTLF is conducted in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation to ensure the global competitiveness of Russia's transport corridors, including the implementation of decrees within the framework of national goals until 2030 and for the future until 2036.
"The International Transport and Logistics Forum will become a platform for the transformation of strategic tasks into specific projects and solutions. It will contribute to coordinated work on the development of international transport corridors passing through the territory of Russia, expanding the possibilities of using the North-South International Transport Corridor, the Northern Sea Route and the backbone infrastructure of all countries participating in the forum," said Vitaly Saveliev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

The main theme of the forum, "Transport connectivity as the foundation of a new world order: from global competition to universal security," will be reflected in the discussion of the plenary session, a key event of the MTLF.
"The active business agenda of the event is intended to become an important platform for a multilateral dialogue on the further development of the global transport and logistics system and Russia's role in it. The Forum implements the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation on the global competitiveness of transport corridors within the framework of national goals until 2030-2036 and will contribute to the search for practical solutions to create a seamless route system, laying the foundation for the prosperity of the Eurasian continent through a multilateral mutually beneficial partnership in a new geopolitical landscape," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the MTLF Organizing Committee.
About 50 events will be held in three thematic blocks.: "Logistics and Transport industries", "Global connectivity and transport corridors", "Digitalization and the future of transport". The participants of the sessions will discuss the integration of national transport systems into the global logistics network, the development of seamless logistics and the digitalization of the industry to increase the connectivity of the transport system of Eurasia with the countries of Africa, Asia, Latin America and the countries of the Persian Gulf.
The International Transport and Logistics Forum will bring together deputy prime ministers and ministers from more than 60 countries to develop transport corridors, synchronize legislation and create a unified digital transport system.
The MTLF business program will be opened by the plenary session "Global Transport Corridors: Integration and Seamless Logistics", which will be held within the framework of the track "Global Connectivity and Transport Corridors". The key issue of the track will be the synchronization of the national plans of the participating countries for the development of a unified transport infrastructure and optimization of transit routes without duplication of investments.
Other topics of the track "Global Connectivity and Transport Corridors" will be discussions of the balance of interests and new growth points of international logistics, as well as the formation of a new geography of global trade. It is planned to discuss the integration of the countries of the African continent into the Eurasian logistics system. The participants of the session "Development through Access to Global Markets" will discuss Africa's trade potential, Russian experience in developing foreign transport infrastructure and integrating African countries into logistics routes through the Suez Canal or around the continent. The discussion will be attended by Andrey Nikitin, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Dilma Rousseff, President of the New Development Bank, Abdurahaman Amadou, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation of the Republic of Niger, Mahamat Abdoulaye Abdoulaye, representative of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture, Mining and Crafts of the Republic of Chad in the Russian Federation, and representatives of Russian business: Deputy Chairman of VEB.Daniil Algulyan, CEO of PJSC "DVMP" (FESCO) Peter Ivanov, Russian Federation.
Other key events include meetings of relevant expert organizations: the Council of Heads of Authorized Bodies in the field of transport of the EAEU Member States, a meeting of the Interstate Technical Committee for Standardization MTK 418 "Road Management", a meeting of the International Supervisory Board on the application of the Memorandum of Understanding between regulatory authorities in transport, the 4th meeting of the Russian-Indian working group on Road Management and Intelligent Transport Systems, an expanded meeting of the Coordinating Committee for the Management of the EATL Railway Route No. 1.
The MTLF is held with the support of national partners PJSC Aeroflot and GC National Project Construction. The general partner is the FESCO Transport Group, the strategic partner is PJSC ROSSETI, the official partners are the State—owned Avtodor Company and JSC Russian Railways.
