According to the results of the first two months of 2026, only 92 new Aito cars were registered in Russia. This is four times less (-75.5%) than in January-February last year, when 376 such cars were sold. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this on March 26 in his Telegram channel.

"The sharp decrease in sales volumes is due to the supply price of premium hybrid crossovers, which increased sharply after the changes in recycling tariffs (December 1)," the specialist explained.

The first Aito cars appeared on the Russian market at the end of 2022, and a little less than 5 thousand copies have been sold since the beginning of sales. Sales peaked in 2024-2025, when 2,345 and 2,355 cars were sold, respectively.

The Aito range includes M5 and M7 hybrid all-wheel drive crossovers with a 496 hp powerplant that can accelerate from zero to "hundreds" in less than five seconds and travel more than 1,100 km without stopping. Similar models, but under the Seres brand, cost about 6 million rubles. The official distributor of the brand is MB Rus, a former subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz.

The day before, it was reported that 76 new Soueast vehicles were registered in Russia in January — February 2026, which is 4.5 times lower than in the same period last year (354 units). The decline in sales of Soueast cars in Russia at the beginning of 2026 is not due to a decrease in consumer demand, but to the volume of car deliveries to the brand's dealerships, brand representatives explained.
