Detsky Radio (part of Gazprom-Media Holding as part of GPM Radio) was awarded the Cultural Prize of the President of the Russian Federation for works and projects for children and youth. The award ceremony was held in the Kremlin on March 25, the Day of the Cultural Worker in Russia.

Today, Children's Radio is a large—scale multimedia ecosystem combining traditional broadcast practices with the most advanced digital technologies. The radio station was the first in the country to "revive" its virtual characters — Freckle and Kipyatosha — with the help of mapping, and their adventures turned into Russia's first cartoon audio podcast animated by neural networks. Technology here helps us to talk about important things — our native language, literature, and values – in a language that children can understand. Through interactive formats, millions of children discover classical literature and iconic pages of history. Among the key projects are the transmedia universe of detective podcasts "KHRUM" (about 300 million listeners in 2025) with theatrical productions, the educational cycles "Bukvoed" and "Explain, Alexander Sergeevich!", the generational project "I remember! I'm proud!", excursions to the radio station (more than 28 thousand guests in three years), as well as large-scale "Discos of Children's Radio", which gather tens of thousands of viewers at the main venues of the country, and its own music label "Hooray! Music", which has become a professional platform for young talents.

"The Award of the President of the Russian Federation in the field of culture for works and projects for children and youth for Gazprom-Media Holding is a high state assessment of the systematic work of our radio division. For us, Children's Radio is not just one of the brands in the holding's portfolio, it is a social project and a strategic investment in the future. What values we pass on to our children largely determines what Russia will be like in 20-30 years. Our goal is to create a safe, nurturing media environment for children, where culture, history, classical literature, music and modern audio formats work towards one goal — shaping the taste and cultural code of future adults," said Alexander Zharov, CEO of Gazprom Media Holding.

"We take this award as a confirmation that Children's Radio has become a significant phenomenon in the cultural life of the country. We will continue to do what we do best: to offer children and their parents a truly meaningful and modern media product that combines education and entertainment, emotion and meaning, tradition and innovation. This is our service to culture, our contribution to the future of Russia, and today, together with this high award, we receive even more motivation to move forward," Vadim Tereshchuk, CEO of GPM Radio, commented on receiving the award.

The Prize of the President of the Russian Federation in the field of culture for works and projects for children and youth is the highest recognition of the merits of cultural figures and organizations to the state and society in educating and educating the younger generation. The decision to award the prize is made by the Head of State on the basis of proposals from the Presidential Council for Culture.

Detsky Radio became one of the first winners of the updated award for achievements in the field of culture for children and youth. The relevant changes were approved by the Decree of the President of Russia dated October 6, 2025 "On certain issues of state policy in the field of culture." According to the document, not only citizens can now be nominated for the award, but also cultural organizations that have achieved significant success in educating and educating the younger generation.
