The student who started the shooting and his peer were promptly taken to the Chelyabinsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital (CHODKB) for examination. This was announced on March 26 by the regional Ministry of Health.

"Two NSR brigades were working at the site. The injured children were taken to the Central Clinical Hospital and examined by specialists," the ministry said.
