UAVs attacked a Turkish oil tanker in the Black Sea
The Turkish oil tanker ALTURA was attacked by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the Black Sea. This was announced on March 26 by the NTV channel.
"The Turkish oil vessel ALTURA, a crude oil tanker, was hit by a drone in the Black Sea, 15 miles from the Bosphorus. The deck and engine room of the ship were damaged," the report says.
According to the TV channel, there were 140 thousand tons of oil on board the vessel. As a result of the impact, a powerful explosion occurred, and the bridge and engine room were damaged.
The crew, consisting of 27 Turkish citizens, requested assistance, and the coast guard and a response vessel were sent to the site. No injuries have been reported, and the condition of the crew members is assessed as good.

Greek Minister of Shipping and Island Policy Vasilis Kikilias noted that the drone attack on the Greek tanker Maran Homer in the Black Sea may be related to the US decision to partially allow the transportation of Russian oil.
