Muscovites sent 73 tons of bottled water to new regions and the border area

As part of the Moscow Helps project, more than 73 tons of bottled water were shipped to the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Kursk, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. This was announced on March 26 by the portal of the Mayor of Moscow. mos.ru .

It is specified that the humanitarian aid was prepared by the volunteers of the capital, and the goods were distributed among those who need it, including those who live in temporary accommodation facilities. Moscow volunteers are actively working through 15 headquarters that collect and ship goods for residents of new territories and border areas. Food, personal hygiene products, clothes and bedding are all collected for those in need.

The Moscow Helps project has been in existence since 2022 and unites more than 18.3 thousand volunteers. An important role in its activities is played by cooperation with regional headquarters, such as My Place in the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, where volunteers help not only with humanitarian aid, but also carry out evacuations, eliminate the consequences of emergencies and train local volunteers.

"Moscow has been supporting us since the early days, and [the resource center] Mosvolonter has become not just a reliable partner organization, but a true friend. The Metropolitan Volunteers are a team that supports all our actions and all our requests. In addition to regular humanitarian assistance, Muscovites are always ready to share advice and provide friendly support," said Kristina Paraskan, Chief of Staff.

In addition, according to the heads of headquarters, Moscow's assistance goes beyond simple supplies of goods — Muscovites provide support at all levels, from solving organizational issues to providing consulting services.

mos.ru On March 17, he reported that students and teachers from all 26 Moscow centers for additional education regularly support participants in the special military operation (SVO) by sending handmade postcards, trench candles and parcels with necessary things to the front line. It was clarified that the Bibirevo Center for Children's and Youth creativity makes clothes and charms for its participants. The volunteer group "Territory of Kindness" of the Victoria Children's and Youth Center collects sweets, tea, coffee, personal hygiene products and postcards for military personnel.
