Minsk's relations with Pyongyang have entered a fundamentally new stage. This was announced by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on Thursday, March 26, during talks with Chairman of the DPRK Kim Jong-un.

"The friendly relations between our states, which originated in the times of the Soviet Union, have never been interrupted. Today, as a result of comprehensive progressive development, we are moving to a fundamentally new stage. It is very late, but nevertheless we are moving to a new stage," the BelTA news agency quoted him as saying.
