- The media reported on the intention of Germany and Australia to create a space tracking system for the Russian Federation
Australia and Germany will sign an agreement on cooperation in the field of space defense and an agreement on the status of the armed forces in order to control the situation in Russia and China. This was reported on March 26 by ABC News with reference to German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
"We (Germany and Australia — Ed.) need to know what is happening up there. This could be called an early warning system for space, and today we signed a letter of intent to implement it," Pistorius said.
It is specified that the agreements will be signed during Pistorius' visit to Australia. According to the head of the German Defense Ministry, Berlin will spend €35 billion over the next few years to achieve joint goals with Australia.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on March 5 that the West was waging a direct "hot war" against Russia. He noted that Western countries were also preparing Ukraine to become the "anti-Russia." Lavrov stressed that unfriendly countries intend to "destroy" the state and inflict a strategic defeat on the Russian side.
