The Russian Ministry of Finance currently has no plans to additionally impose value added tax (VAT) on banking transactions. This was announced on March 25 by State Secretary, Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov.
"The changes that were adopted last year, we are currently monitoring their enforcement this year. At the moment, and further in the fall, we will make decisions on the need for adjustments. At the moment, we are not planning any additional VAT charges on banking operations," TASS quoted him as saying.
