- The Izvestia film crew descended on the employees of the company who had beaten Poltoranin
On Wednesday, March 25, the Izvestia film crew descended on those who beat up a man with military awards, our correspondent Alexei Poltoranin.
But as soon as the journalists appeared on the doorstep, the offices of the Podolsk company "Beautiful Series" immediately died out. Although a couple of hours ago, the self-proclaimed masters of life were waving their fists and making it clear that they would not be punished.
The film crew found the attacker on the spot, but there was no trace of the former fuse of this "decider". The one who brutally beat Alexei and threatened to cut off his fingers is now running away from the camera and denying everything. This is Pavel Poghosyan.
His office has been "selling" "beautiful" combinations of license plates to customers for a long time. The journalists had previously crossed paths with Poghosyan under the guise of clients. Back then, he was all confidence: he promised to get any number — it was a matter of price.
Other "businessmen", having seen the camera, behaved rudely: one attacked the operator, others were rude and pretended that they did not know about what had happened here a few hours ago.
Earlier on March 25, employees of a company illegally selling "beautiful" license plates for cars attacked Alexey Poltoranin, a correspondent for Izvestia, who was investigating the company's activities. The journalist came to the company's office under the guise of a buyer to find out details about the schemes for selling government numbers. The company's employees suspected that Poltoranin was a journalist, surrounded and attacked him. The men took the correspondent's phone and punched him several times in the stomach.
Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee, instructed Yaroslav Yakovlev, head of the Main Investigation Department of the Moscow Region Department, to prepare a report on the investigation of the case. He was taken under control at the central office of the Investigative Committee.
Alexey Poltoranin is a military correspondent for Izvestia, awarded the Medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree, and the Medal for Bravery. He shot reports in war zones. In 2023, he received shrapnel wounds after an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Donetsk.
