- The realtor spoke about the trend of Russians moving from large cities to small ones
In Russia, due to the development of remote employment and government support for historical settlements, a trend has begun to take shape towards the relocation of citizens from large to small towns and villages. This was announced on March 25 by the president of the Russian Guild of Realtors (RGR) Artemy Shurygin.
"Against the background of the development of remote employment, logistics, and government policy to support small towns and historical settlements, a niche trend of "reverse movement" is emerging — the relocation of some citizens to small towns and suburbs," he said in an interview with aif.ru .
It is noted that residents of megacities are more likely to purchase real estate in small towns, attracted by lower prices and a calm environment. The head of the RGR noted that this process is most actively taking place in the format of suburbanization — the purchase of houses or townhouses in the suburbs while maintaining access to the labor market of large centers.
On March 17, experts from the Metrium company estimated that by the end of February, the weighted average price per square meter in the primary premium housing market in Moscow for the first time exceeded 900 thousand rubles. There is also a significant increase in consumer activity in the premium new building market.
