Iran named Tehran's retaliatory conditions to Washington on the settlement
Iran reacted negatively to the US proposal to end the conflict in the Middle East and put forward its demands in response. This was reported on March 25 by the Iranian TV channel PressTV.
"There are a number of specific conditions under which Iran would agree to end the war. A complete cessation of aggression and killings by the enemy and the creation of specific mechanisms to ensure that the war against the Islamic Republic is not resumed," PressTV wrote, citing an unnamed Iranian official.
According to the source, there are only five conditions. In addition, Iran demands compensation from Washington for military damage, the end of the war on all fronts for all parties involved, and international recognition of Iran's right to rule over the Strait of Hormuz.
He added that Tehran would not act on the orders of the United States, but would decide to end the war only if the listed conditions were met. The US peace proposals, which are being sent to Iran through various channels, are very "divorced from reality."
On March 24, the Iranian ambassador to Russia denied information about negotiations between Washington and Tehran. The American and Iranian sides did not hold talks during the US-Israeli military operation in Iran.
The New York Times reported on March 25 that the United States had sent a 15-point peace plan through Pakistan to Iran. It is specified that the proposed plan covers aspects related to the missile and nuclear programs of the Islamic Republic, as well as freedom of navigation.
