The Chinese company JAC will help KAMAZ in the race

JAC Motors and the KamAZ-master motorsport team have announced the beginning of cooperation in motorsport. This is stated in the message of the press service of the Chinese brand, which was received by Izvestia on March 25.

Several models from the Chinese brand's line will act as escort vehicles during rally races, will serve as logistical support for crews and press cars, and perform other tasks.

The companies will cooperate both in the framework of the Russian Rally Raid championships and in the Taklamakan rally marathon, which has been dubbed the Eastern Dakar due to its high difficulty. The team's fleet will be replenished with JAC T9 pickups, RF8 minivan, JS6 crossovers and J7 liftback. The partnership contract is concluded until the end of 2026.

JAC representatives noted that in 2024, the T8 pickup truck overcame the Taklamakan rally in China, and in 2025, several T9 pickups passed the Silk Road Rally without breakdowns.

Earlier, on January 22, JAC announced the Russian debut of the new JS9 SUV in the II–III quarter of 2026. Details about the model are not specified yet. JAC noted that it was developed specifically for the Russian market.
