President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who is in Pyongyang on an official visit, laid flowers at the Liberation Monument on March 25. He did this at the request of Russian President Vladimir Putin as a sign of gratitude for North Korea's assistance in a special military operation.

The wreath was solemnly placed on a stand standing at a multi-meter stele to the accompaniment of a military band. After that, Lukashenko personally spread the ribbons in the colors of his country's national flag, which decorated the floral arrangement.

The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un, and the military personnel of the host country dressed in full uniform. The leaders of the states continued the dialogue after the event.

Kim Jong-un said on the same day that Pyongyang's choice to always be with Moscow was unchanged. In his message, he thanked the Russian President for his kind words and recalled the close interstate cooperation between the parties.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on January 25 that the leader of the DPRK personally supervised the manufacturing process of the sculpture complex, which is planned to be installed in the Museum of the Exploits of the Soldiers of the Korean People's Army (KPA), who participated in the liberation and demining of the Kursk region. A few days earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Pyongyang had provided fraternal assistance to Moscow by its actions.
