Helsinki Airport staff provided food and drinks to passengers on a flight from Hurghada that landed in the Finnish capital. Passenger Svetlana told Izvestia about this on March 25.

According to her, after landing in the early morning, passengers were given blankets and water. Then the airport staff offered the first and second breakfasts. In the afternoon, they were also given a hot lunch, two kettles, tea and coffee.

"Moreover, I will tell you that [Helsinki Airport employees] have set up a children's playroom for the children. The atmosphere is calm and friendly enough. We are very grateful to the Finns," Svetlana shared.

She added that passengers were asked not to take video at the airport. Nevertheless, Svetlana noted that she did not expect such help from the Finnish side.

"The Finns, for their part, have done everything for us to feel comfortable," she concluded.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Embassy in Finland reported that a Nesma Airlines plane flying from Hurghada to St. Petersburg had to land in Helsinki. The landing in Helsinki is due to time restrictions on flights at Pulkovo Airport. There were 176 people on board.

At the same time, the press service of Helsinki Airport refused to provide information about the passenger situation. They explained this with the participation of border guard officers in solving the incident.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
