- The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed to the West's unwillingness to end the conflict in Ukraine.
Kiev's attacks on the Blue Stream and Turkish Stream gas pipelines, carried out with the consent of Western countries, show that they are not interested in resolving the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on March 25 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"The European so-called hawks are clearly not interested in the success of the negotiations and are ready to prevent a stable peace agreement. This was confirmed by another terrorist attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the infrastructure of the Turkish Stream and Blue Stream gas pipelines committed between March 17 and 19 with the consent of Westerners," Zakharova said at a briefing.
She added that the EU's unveiled plan for arms purchases by 2027 also indicates an unwillingness to end the conflict, as it includes equipping Ukraine's troops with weapons.
Gazprom previously reported on new attacks on the Turkish Stream and Blue Stream gas infrastructure facilities from March 17 to 19. It was noted that attempts of drone strikes were made at the compressor stations "Russian", "Kazachya" and "Beregovaya".
Maria Zakharova said on March 20 that the Russian side considers it important to encourage Kiev to stop reckless strikes that pose a threat to international energy routes. She noted that the Kiev regime is trying to undermine Russia's position as a reliable supplier of energy resources with such actions.
