Valery Filippov, 70, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Chelyabinsk Region, voluntarily signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and subsequently went to the special military operation zone. This was announced on Wednesday, March 25, by the chairman of the legislative Assembly of the region Oleg Gerber.

"It's just a voluntary contract," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

It is emphasized that Filippov is also the president of the Uvelka food company, which specializes in the production of large groceries. The agency's interlocutor clarified that the powers of the deputy are assigned to the fighter who signed the documents.

Portal URA.RU On March 13, he announced the resignation of the former head of the Chelyabinsk Ministry of Internal Affairs, Andrei Menshenia. It was specified that the former policeman would join the unit with the rank of private, who would be involved in the specialized volunteer aerial reconnaissance unit Cascade.
