The 19th century quarter is recognized as a cultural heritage site in Chita
In Chita, buildings built at the end of the 19th century will become a protected area. The register of cultural heritage sites will include 16 buildings on Kastrinskaya, Bogomyagkova and Krasnoarmeyskaya streets. The territory will have the status of a "place of interest".
According to ChitaMedia news agency, with reference to the government of the Trans-Baikal Territory, not only individual objects, but also the entire historical environment, including the layout of neighborhoods and landscape, will receive comprehensive protection.
The preserved building is an example of merchant architecture of the late 19th century. It reflects the appearance of the city in the 1880s. One of the most notable objects is the house of the Cossack and revolutionary Aviv Voiloshnikov on Kastrinskaya Street.
According to the head of the window protection department of the regional Ministry of Culture, Vladimir Nesterenko, thanks to the new status, it will be possible to preserve the architectural heritage and increase the investment attractiveness of the entire district. The business will have the right to develop next to the window on simplified terms.
The buildings will receive protected status this summer.
Earlier it was reported that St. Petersburg may attract a preferential loan for the restoration of the Kresty complex. Dom.RF Bank launched the federal program in 2024. It allows you to take out loans at a rate of up to 9% for projects related to cultural heritage sites.
