Temporary restrictions for trucks will be introduced in Khabarovsk from April
Khabarovsk will introduce temporary restrictions on the movement of heavy trucks on public roads of local importance. They will be valid from March 31 to April 30.
The State Traffic Inspectorate of the region says that restrictions will be introduced due to a decrease in the bearing capacity of structural elements of roads caused by their waterlogging during unfavorable natural and climatic conditions. It is forbidden to exceed the maximum permissible loads on the vehicle's axles, IA AmurMedia writes.
The ban will not apply to federal roads, transportation of fuel, food, mail and medicines, as well as international transportation of goods and passengers.
During this period, the maximum permissible load on the axle of the machine should not exceed 3.5 tons.
The agency adds that more than 40 thousand cars pass through Khabarovsk every day. The proceeds from obtaining the permit do not cover the damage that heavy trucks cause to roads during the muddy season.
Earlier it was reported that restrictions on truck travel will begin to apply on roads in the Krasnoyarsk Territory on April 13. They will last until May 12th. On the highway "Entrance to Alykel airport in Norilsk", restrictions will be in effect from May 13 to June 12. There will be no bans for trucks only on the Verkhnyaya Biryusa — Ibrul highway. The rule will apply to vehicles exceeding the established maximum permissible loads on each axle. The limits for a single axle are 6 tons, for a two—axle trolley — 5 tons, for a three—axle trolley - 4 tons.
