The situation with the negotiations around Iran resembles a "leapfrog" over the Ukrainian settlement. This was announced on March 25 by the official representative Dmitry Peskov.

Peskov commented on reports that the United States allegedly handed over to Iran a draft peace plan that includes support for Iran's nuclear program and work at the Bushehr nuclear power plant.

"No, our Iranian friends did not give us this kind of information. <...> We do not know how reliable all these reports are. You remember the leapfrog with the plans, with the different number of points of the plans around the Ukrainian settlement. Now there are a lot of parallels <...> to be drawn in such publications," he said.

Peskov also noted that a significant part of the emerging information is false, and it is impossible to draw conclusions without official confirmation.

On the same day, the Associated Press reported that Iran had received a 15-point cease-fire proposal from the United States. In recent days, according to the American side, contacts have taken place between the United States and Iran through intermediaries, including Pakistan.

The day before, the contents of 15 points of the US peace plan for Iran became known. It was clarified that Washington demands that Tehran completely dismantle its existing nuclear potential and abandon the possibility of creating nuclear weapons. The New York Times reported on March 25 that the United States had sent a 15-point peace plan through Pakistan to Iran.
