After the explosion in one of the apartment buildings in Sevastopol, six people were placed in temporary accommodation facilities, and over 200 more went to their relatives for a while. This was announced on Wednesday, March 25, by the governor of the city Mikhail Razvozhaev.
"In total, six people (one of them a child) are accommodated in the RVR, the remaining 214 people (73 of them children) decided to stay with relatives," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
In addition, as the head of the city added, there are currently 10 residents of Sevastopol, including three children. Razvozhaev clarified that all the listed people are fully provided with the necessary assistance.
The governor of Sevastopol had introduced a regional emergency in the city a day earlier. The Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation, in turn, opened criminal cases in accordance with Articles 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence"), Article 222.1 ("On the illegal acquisition and storage of an unidentified explosive device").
On March 24, Ekaterina Falina, the head of the Gagarin District, said that at least 40 apartments were damaged at the facility, and the next day she added that at least seven more houses and 15 cars were partially damaged. As a result of the tragedy, two people were killed, and another, the injured 14—year-old girl, is in a very serious condition.
