- The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced the absence of negotiations with the United States for 25 days.
Tehran is not negotiating with Washington and has not conducted negotiations over the past 25 days since the start of the military operation against the Islamic Republic. This was announced on March 25 by the official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Bagai.
"There are no negotiations between Iran and the United States, just as there have been none for all these 25 days since the start of the illegal war against Iran," he said on India Today TV channel.
On March 24, Iranian Ambassador Kazem Jalali denied information about negotiations between the United States and Iran.
US President Donald Trump announced on March 23 that the US military would temporarily suspend strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure amid talks between Washington and Tehran. He also said that the United States and Iran had held two days of fruitful negotiations to resolve the conflict.
On the same day, the Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly denied the information about the alleged negotiations. According to the ministry, peace initiatives come only from the countries of the Middle East, and the statements of the American leader are an attempt to "buy time" for a military operation.
