Sales of Soueast cars in Russia decreased almost fivefold

In January-February 2026, 76 new Soueast vehicles were registered in Russia, which is 4.5 times lower than in the same period last year (354 units). At the same time, not a single car built in 2026 has been sold yet, Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, said on March 25 in his Telegram channel.

The Soueast brand line in Russia includes the S07 and S09 crossovers. Last year, the S07 accounted for 75% of sales, and this year the S09 leads with a share of 80%.

"Soueast cars are sold by Jetour dealers. With such a volume of sales, the prospects of the Soueast brand in the Russian market are unclear to me. Although officially, representatives of the brand have repeatedly stated that they will continue to supply and sell cars," said Tselikov.

Soueast intends to expand the brand's product range in Russia. On March 12, representatives of the company announced that sales of the Soueast S06 crossover in Russia will begin this spring. This model will be the third and most compact in the Russian line of the brand.

The day before, GAC announced that the new GAC Aion V electric crossover will cost from 4 million rubles in Russia, including special offers, and will go on sale on April 2. The crossover has an electric motor in the front with a capacity of 204 hp (210 Nm), acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes 7.9 seconds.
