India has announced its readiness to send more labor migrants to Russia
The Indian side is ready to send even more of its specialists to work in Russia if such a request is received from Moscow. This was announced on Wednesday, March 25, by the Head of the Department for Migration Policy and Social Security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Prashant Pisa.
"What skills would you (Russia. No matter what you need, we are ready to eliminate the gaps in qualifications, and, accordingly, if there is a need for specialists in different fields, we will be able to send the right people to you," he said in a conversation with RIA Novosti.
The agency's interlocutor said that many of his compatriots are ready to move to Russia. According to him, there are many talented professionals in India, as well as institutes for their training. Some such institutions, as Pisa added, are specifically focused on the foreign market.
Boris Titov, Special Representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin for Relations with international organizations to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, said on December 22, 2025, that cooperation with India could solve the problem of the shortage of migrant workers in Russia.
According to him, there is a growing interest among domestic enterprises in migrants from this South Asian country.
