The Iranian leadership considers the US offer of negotiations to be a trick and is afraid of being deceived. This was reported on March 25 by the Axios portal, citing sources.

According to the newspaper, the Iranian representatives expressed their doubts to the mediators from Pakistan, Egypt and Turkey.

The strengthening of the American military presence in the Middle East, as noted, has strengthened Tehran in the idea that Washington's initiative may be insincere.

On March 24, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic to Russia denied information about negotiations between Washington and Tehran. The American and Iranian sides did not hold talks during the US-Israeli military operation in Iran.

The New York Times reported on March 25 that the United States had sent a 15-point peace plan through Pakistan to Iran. It clarifies that the proposed plan covers aspects related to the missile and nuclear programs of the Islamic Republic, as well as freedom of navigation.
