A fire broke out in the port of Ust-Luga, Leningrad Region, as a result of an attack by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced on March 25 by the governor of the region, Alexander Drozdenko.

At the same time, he reported that 33 drones had been destroyed by air defense and electronic warfare forces.

"33 UAVs were destroyed by air defense and electronic warfare in the Leningrad region. <...> According to preliminary data, there are no casualties," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.

Later, Drozdenko clarified that the number of destroyed UAVs had increased to 56. According to the governor, the fire is being localized in the Ust-Luga port area. He also added that the roof of an apartment building in Vyborg was damaged.

The day before, Drozdenko reported that over 70 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were destroyed in the skies over the Leningrad region. He noted that there were no casualties, and emergency services went to the scene to eliminate the consequences. Maxim Kondratiev, the founder of the unmanned aviation training center and an academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering, then admitted that the drones were launched from the north of Ukraine.
