The White House is using the war with Iran to gain economic advantages. This opinion was shared by Gunnar Lindemann, a deputy from the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, in an interview with Izvestia on March 25.

According to Lindemann, those close to US President Donald Trump, and possibly the head of the White House himself, may be involved in oil deals due to their connections and access to first-hand information.

"We have seen more than once in the past that large investments were made before important decisions," Lindemann said.

The MP added that it is difficult to say whether Trump is using the current truce to prepare for future operations. The expert believes that the American president realized the impossibility of rapid success in Iran and abandoned the "blitzkrieg" strategy.

"He has also already realized that his NATO allies have refused to support him, and now he is looking for an exit strategy, because alone with Israel he will not be able to achieve any success without sending ground troops to Iran," the deputy stressed.

The expert added that the deployment of ground forces could lead to high losses on the American side, which the head of the White House is also aware of, so he is probably using the current time to develop a strategy to resolve the conflict.
