Azur Air will continue flights to Vietnam amid problems with jet fuel in the country

Azur Air continues to operate regular flights to Vietnam, despite problems with jet fuel in this country. This was reported in the press service of the carrier on Tuesday, March 24.

"The airline has signed long—term contracts with refueling companies in Nha Trang (Cam Ranh) and Fukuoka, and suppliers have confirmed the fulfillment of their refueling obligations in full, up to the scheduled dates for the completion of flight programs," the press service told the Moscow City News agency.

Azur Air added that flights to Nha Trang in the winter tourist season are scheduled to end during the May holidays. The completion of the flight program to Phu Quoc Island is scheduled for the last decade of April.

Azur Air operates flights to Nha Trang (Cam Ranh) from nine Russian cities (Chelyabinsk, Irkutsk, Omsk, Perm, Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Ufa, Moscow, Novosibirsk), and to Fukuoka from eight countries (Krasnoyarsk, Samara, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Moscow, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk).

Earlier in the day, Bloomberg reported that Vietnam Airlines was temporarily suspending domestic flights due to a shortage of aviation fuel and rising prices caused by the conflict in the Middle East, RT reports. From April 1, the state-owned Vietnam Airlines will reduce about 20 flights, according to the website. kp.ru .

On March 18, the Aeroflot press service announced that the carrier would launch additional flights from Moscow to Vietnam starting on March 23. Flights will be operated twice a week: departure from Moscow on Mondays and Thursdays, and return flight from Nha Trang on Tuesdays and Fridays.
