"Today, at the end of his sentence, Oleg Lvovich Mitvol, who was previously sentenced to four years and six months in prison with a maximum term of five years, was released from the colony. The essence of the criminal case

The criminal prosecution of Oleg Mitvol began in 2022, when he was detained at Vnukovo Airport while trying to fly to Turkey. The investigation found that he was involved in the theft of 900 million rubles. The crime was committed during the implementation of the metro construction project in Krasnoyarsk.

During the court proceedings, the defendant stated that he did not have the stolen funds. Mitvol pointed out that it was impossible to quickly compensate for the damage, since his salary in the colony was 15 thousand rubles. His relatives helped him partially pay off the debt to the state, but at the time of his release, the amount had not been fully repaid.

Two residents of Krasnoyarsk tried to get 100 million rubles from Mitvol's wife, promising help in mitigating punishment through connections in government agencies.
