With the advent of the Russian rating of TV series, domestic film producers will stop working "by touch" and will be able to clearly understand how viewers evaluate the product. This was announced to Izvestia on March 24 by screenwriter and producer Andrei Zolotarev.

He noted that before the evaluation of TV series was the subject of endless debate. To compile the ratings, the sites used different tools, which lacked a single typologization and a clear explanation of the choice.

Zolotarev stressed that with the Russian rating of TV series, it will be easier for viewers to evaluate the effectiveness of projects. It will provide important analytics for manufacturers to help them move in the right direction.

"Sometimes ratings tell you where the gaps are, what hasn't been done, which genres aren't affected. The audience is complicated, and they don't want the same thing. You can't feed a person the same porridge every day, they still want a variety of genres. <...> Therefore, it is necessary to simultaneously match what the viewer wants, and impress, surprise," the screenwriter concluded.

On the same day, Medialogia presented the Russian series rating, the first release of which was the top 100 most popular projects of 2025. The scoring methodology takes into account 19 different parameters. The system analyzes not only search queries, but also real-time viewing on TV and online platforms, as well as discussion activity on social networks.
