Fungal infections have multiplied in the fields of Crimea due to humidity
Dangerous fungal infections began to develop intensively in the fields of the Crimea due to sudden changes in temperature and high humidity. This was reported by the press service of the regional Agricultural Center.
The active spread of diseases was revealed during large-scale monitoring of the state of winter grain crops. We are talking about root rot, septoria, powdery mildew and focal helminthosporiasis spotting.
According to experts, root rot caused by Fusarium fungi is especially dangerous. The pathogen affects the roots, the underground internode and the base of the stem, which causes the shoots to die and the shoots to die.
Crop losses from root rot can reach 15-40%, writes IA SevastopolMedia. At the same time, 40-80% humidity is sufficient for the active development of the pathogen in the soil — in some areas of the Crimea this indicator has already been exceeded.
As noted by the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor, Andrei Alekseenko, the situation remains under control in the fields, where protective measures were carried out in a timely manner and in full. Where farmers have weakened their attention, the infection is already making itself felt, he concluded.
To protect crops, it is necessary to carry out timely fungicidal treatments in the tillering phase – exit into the tube. At the same time, it is necessary to strictly follow the "List of pesticides and agrochemicals allowed for use in the territory of the Russian Federation."
Earlier it was reported that the Russian government will additionally allocate 2 billion rubles for the preferential agroleasing program in 2026. This amount will ensure the supply of over 6.5 thousand units of agricultural machinery and finance previously concluded lease agreements.
