The Ostankino District Court of Moscow has banned a website selling illegal certificates required to acquire Russian citizenship. This is stated in the materials that Izvestia reviewed on March 24.

We are talking about certificates issued by government agencies that conduct exams in the Russian language for foreigners.

The site was publicly accessible and was identified during an inspection by the prosecutor's office.

Lawyer Pavel Korniako, in an interview with Izvestia on March 16, said that the decision of the Kirovsky District Court of Yekaterinburg, which not only fined a local resident for fictitiously registering nine foreigners, but also confiscated his room for state revenue, is an isolated practice.

Usually, in such cases, violators have their mobile phones seized, through which they registered for "Public Services," the lawyer explained. The confiscation of residential premises, in his opinion, is an "unresolved" and controversial measure.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
