The area for grain and leguminous crops will increase by 0.4 thousand hectares to 786.2 thousand hectares. 345.4 thousand hectares will be allocated for industrial crops, of which 316.5 thousand hectares will be used for spring rape.
It is also planned to increase forage crops, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency. So, they will be grown on an area of 250.7 thousand hectares. 28.2 thousand hectares will be allocated for potato planting, and 4.6 thousand hectares for vegetables.
As Governor Mikhail Kotyukov noted, farmers need to maintain a balance between grain, fodder and industrial crops. This will ensure the food security of the region and the development of exports of local producers.
The press service of the government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory clarified that the farms are fully supplied with seeds of grain and leguminous crops. More than 84% of rapeseed seeds have been harvested, and from April to May, vegetable and corn seeds will be delivered to enterprises. The inspection showed that 84% of the planting material meets the necessary requirements.
According to Kotyukov, by the beginning of the sowing campaign, farmers should be provided with seeds, mainly domestic ones. He recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin had set the task of developing domestic seed production and the region needed to be more actively involved in it.
In addition, more than 104 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers have already been purchased. Deliveries are still ongoing. The readiness of the equipment is estimated at more than 92%. There is no shortage of spare parts and consumables, and the purchase of fuel and lubricants is still underway.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian government will additionally allocate 2 billion rubles for the preferential agroleasing program in 2026. This amount will ensure the supply of over 6.5 thousand units of agricultural machinery and finance previously concluded lease agreements.
