AvtoVAZ announced the price of Lada Vesta Sport and launched sales

Sales of the new Lada Vesta Sport have been launched in Russia, and the first batches of cars are already arriving at dealerships. The car features a boosted engine, modified suspension, and a special exterior and interior design. The model is offered for the first time in two body types — sedan and station wagon. The price of the new product starts from 2.35 million rubles for the sedan version, the company said in a statement received by Izvestia on March 24.

The design of the model includes more than 200 original parts. The power unit is based on a 1.8 L Evo engine. Peak power has been increased to 147 hp due to the modernization of a number of components and systems: sports camshafts have been installed, special controller firmware has been applied, as well as an original cold intake system. The exhaust system has received an increased diameter and has a sporty sound that does not cause discomfort, AvtoVAZ said.

For the first time, the model uses a 6-speed manual transmission designed for high torque. The stability control system has received sports settings, as well as the possibility of a complete shutdown. Changes have been made to the springs and shock absorbers, the track has been widened, and the ground clearance is 158 mm.

Externally, the Vesta Sport features an aerodynamic body kit. The interior is decorated in a black and red color scheme with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a manual transmission lever, and seats with developed lateral support are installed. A sports mode has been introduced into the instrument cluster, which provides for the display of time and speed recording functions (quarter-mile races, ring races). The body color palette includes four shades, later dark red Flamenco and gray Typhoon will appear in it
