A group of special forces in the SVO zone was saved by spotter Uncle Vanya

A spotter with the call sign Uncle Vanya helped a group of Russian special forces soldiers escape from the encirclement in Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on March 24 by a Russian military man, an attack machine gunner with the call sign Father.

According to him, a group of special forces fell into an ambush organized by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and found themselves in a dense crossfire.

The soldiers had to hide under the rubble of damaged armored vehicles. At that moment, an unknown spotter came to the rescue. He opened intense fire on the enemy positions, thereby preventing them from raising their heads, which allowed the surrounded fighters to orient themselves and find a safe way to escape.

The father confessed that he did not even know his savior by sight.

"His call sign is Uncle Vanya, we have never met him personally," he said in an interview with RT.

The enemy figured out the place where the fire was coming from and covered the position of the grenade launcher with heavy fire. As a result, Uncle Vanya received several wounds.
