Belousov awarded the Gold Star medal to Hero of Russia fighter Yarashev

Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov presented the Gold Star Medal of the Hero of Russia to serviceman Sergei Yarashev, who single-handedly held positions near the Grishino settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) for 68 days. This was announced on March 24 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"The head of the Russian military department thanked Sergey Yarashev for the feat and courage shown during combat missions, wished him a speedy recovery and noted that he would closely monitor the process of Sergey's treatment and rehabilitation. The Russian Defense Minister also conveyed congratulations from the Supreme Commander—in-Chief of the Russian Armed Forces," the ministry said in a statement.
