Over the past day, 200 accidents have occurred on Russian roads, in which 19 people were killed and 241 injured. 13 of the dead were passengers and drivers. This was reported to Izvestia on March 24 by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Russian Interior Ministry.

As a result of 69 accidents involving pedestrians, 30 of which occurred at pedestrian crossings and 39 outside their area of operation, six pedestrians were killed, and 68 more were injured in various degrees of severity. Among the injured were 18 child pedestrians, 10 of them were injured when crossing the roadway in unintended places.

Over the past day, 37 accidents involving minors were registered, in which 42 young road users were injured, including 17 passengers and three motor vehicle drivers. There are no dead children.

17 accidents involving buses were recorded, in which one person was killed, and 23 more road users needed medical help. Nine bus accidents were caused by traffic violations committed by their drivers.

So, in Moscow in the evening, on the 72nd km of the outer ring of the MKAD, a 39-year-old driver of a shuttle bus carrying 12 passengers from the Mitino metro station to Putilkovo near Moscow collided with a passing truck. Seven bus passengers were slightly injured in the incident, and after receiving medical attention, doctors sent them for outpatient treatment. According to the bus driver, he noticed too late that the truck ahead of him was slowing down, and did not have time to react in time. The version about driving a vehicle in a tired state is being considered, since, according to the note in the waybill, the bus driver entered the line early in the morning and worked without a shift for more than 12 hours.

"The State Traffic Inspectorate recommends that drivers of public transport not overestimate their strength and health status. Be sure to alternate between work and rest, always leaving the flight well rested, without the slightest signs of fatigue or malaise. Be careful and careful on the route, keep a safe distance between vehicles, which will allow you to respond in a timely and adequate manner to a possible sudden change in the road situation at any moment. Remember that the lives and health of the passengers you transport depend on your skills, driving experience, well—being, and driving discipline," said Police Colonel Sergey Hrantskevich, head of the Department for Road Safety Promotion and Prevention of Child traffic Injuries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

On the eve of March 23, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law specifying that drivers will be fined no more than once a day for the absence of a valid CTP agreement.
