Russia will react negatively to a potential escalation in the Caspian Sea as part of the conflict in Iran. This was announced on March 24 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov at a briefing.

"[Russia] would take [the escalation in the Caspian Sea] extremely negatively," he said.
