The expert warned about the rise in price of tire repair by 15%

This year, during the summer tire change season, the cost of tire repair services is expected to increase by 15% compared to last summer. This was told by the expert of the company "Wheels for free" Andrey Molodovsky, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports on March 24.

According to him, the rise in prices is due to inflation, higher VAT, rising salaries and a shortage of professional staff.

Depending on the region, the cost of seasonal tire repair with wheel removal/installation, process washing, tire removal/installation, and balancing of all wheels differs. So, in Moscow, such work with 14-inch wheels will cost 3.3–3.5 thousand rubles, and, for example, in Tatarstan and the Urals — about 2.8–3 thousand rubles. Prices in Krasnodar are expected to be the lowest (within 2 thousand rubles).

The larger the wheels, the higher the cost of services. For example, it costs about 8.3 thousand rubles to "change shoes" an SUV with 20-diameter wheels in Moscow, 5.5—6 thousand rubles in Kazan and Yekaterinburg, and 4.5–4.7 thousand rubles in the Krasnodar Territory.

Earlier, on March 13, it was reported that summer tires of the non-premium price segment for passenger cars fell in price in Russia by 8.5% over the year. So, if in February 2025 the average price of a permanent summer tire was 10.7 thousand rubles, then in February 2026 it was 9.8 thousand rubles.
