On March 25-26, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will pay an official visit to the DPRK at the invitation of Chairman of State Affairs of the Republic Kim Jong-un. This was announced on March 24 by the Telegram channel Pool One, which is close to the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"The upcoming visit is intended to strengthen the contractual and legal framework of relations and contribute to the intensification of bilateral cooperation," the publication says.
It is specified that the central event of the visit will be the negotiations of the two heads of state. It is planned to discuss the full range of areas of development of Belarusian-Korean relations, identify the main areas of mutual interest and the most promising projects.
On March 23, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Kim Jong-un on his re-election as chairman of the State Affairs of the DPRK. It was clarified that the Belarusian head of state expressed his conviction that Kim Jong-un's activities would continue to contribute to the development of the country and the well-being of its people. Lukashenko also confirmed Minsk's interest in expanding political and economic contacts with Pyongyang.
