Ex-senator and former Deputy Minister of Natural Resources Oleg Mitvol, convicted in the case of embezzlement of 900 million rubles, was released. Lawyer Mikhail Sholokhov informed Izvestia about this on March 24.

"Today, at the end of his sentence, Oleg Lvovich Mitvol, who was previously sentenced to four years and six months in prison with a maximum term of five years, was released from the colony. During his sentence, he repeatedly applied for a reduced sentence, parole and pardon, which were rejected," Sholokhov said in an interview with Izvestia.
