Military personnel of the North group of forces held an open lesson for high school students of educational institutions in Kursk. The event was held as part of the military-patriotic work and professional orientation of young people. This was announced on March 24 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The lesson was conducted by specialists from unmanned systems units (BS) with practical combat experience. The students were shown samples of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in service, as well as introduced to their design, technical characteristics and application features in the special military operation zone.

During the lesson, students were taught how drones work and their role in performing tasks on the front line. The servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation gave detailed answers to questions, highlighted the features of UAV control and noted that the knowledge gained at school is important in mastering military accounting specialties.

"[The children] even clap and ask completely different questions, which means that they may not be interested right away, not at my lecture, but later. My task is just to introduce them and tell them that this is promising," said the operator of the BS troops with the call sign Ali.

According to the ministry, the events being held contribute to the formation of a stable interest in military service among young people, the development of patriotism and the strengthening of generational continuity.

On March 21, the Ministry of Defense announced that in the Bryansk region, military personnel of anti-UAV units are being trained to use a new drone for kinetic destruction of Yelka drones. The Yelka interceptor is a drone designed to destroy other drones, and is one of the easiest to use.
