In the UK, agricultural machinery owners are facing fuel sales limits due to the conflict in the Middle East. This was reported on March 23 by The Telegraph newspaper, citing sources.

"Wholesalers are imposing restrictions to ensure that all farmers receive at least some amount of fuel," Patrick Crehan, a representative of Anglia Farmers, told the publication.

According to the newspaper, in Essex County, as well as in several areas of Scotland, wholesalers have imposed restrictions on the sale of red diesel fuel intended for farmers, setting limits on its purchase.

It is specified that 500 liters is the maximum that farmers can get to use.

On March 11, The Times newspaper reported the fastest rate of increase in gasoline prices in Britain since 2022. It is specified that the jump in gasoline prices is associated with the outbreak of conflict in the Middle East.

The Wall Street Journal reported on March 10 that the International Energy Agency (IEA) proposed the largest release of oil reserves in its history to lower oil prices caused by the US and Israeli military operation against Iran. According to the publication, the proposed release volume will amount to more than 182 million barrels.
