Corporal Gavshin destroyed two mortars of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of an artillery gun crew.

During the offensive operation, Corporal Andrei Gavshin, acting as part of the artillery crew, provided fire support to the assault units. This was announced on March 24 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

In the process of completing the task of defeating the enemy's equipment and manpower, his weapon was subjected to retaliatory artillery fire.

Despite the shelling, the crew did not stop working and promptly adjusted the fire, redirecting it to the identified positions of the enemy artillery. Thanks to Gavshin's precise and precise actions, two enemy mortar crews and up to ten militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were destroyed.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the combat skills of Sergeant Alexei Sibikov. The unit under his command was tasked with ousting the enemy from a fortified stronghold in one of the key areas. After conducting reconnaissance, Sibikov determined the optimal route of advance and personally led the assault group.

With knowledge of the terrain features, the unit stealthily reached the line of attack, after which it quickly overcame the open area and suddenly attacked the enemy. In the conditions of enemy fire, the sergeant coordinated the actions of the firing group, organized the rapid advance of the assault units and the capture of the line in a short time.

Assessing the possibility of a counterattack, Sibikov provided timely defense, distributed the strength of the assault group in the most dangerous areas. Thanks to well-thought-out tactics, the unit held its positions until the main forces approached, successfully repelling several enemy attempts.

Thanks to the competent and decisive actions of the sergeant, the AFU militants suffered significant losses, thereby providing conditions for the further development of the offensive.
