On March 23, the governor of the Putumayo Department, John Molina, announced the crash of a Hercules C-130 military transport aircraft belonging to the Colombian Air Force.

"Eight people were killed, 73 were injured, 15 of them are in critical condition," the newspaper El Tiempo quoted him as saying.
