Netanyahu discussed Iran in a telephone conversation with Trump
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on March 23 that he had a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump on Iran and expressed his readiness to protect Tel Aviv's interests in any scenario.
"Today I spoke with our friend, President Trump. President Trump believes that there is a chance to use our tremendous military successes to achieve military goals through an agreement that protects our vital interests," he said in a video message posted on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Netanyahu added that Israel continues to attack Iran and the Hezbollah movement in Lebanon.
Trump said on the same day that the United States currently has a good chance of concluding a deal with Iran. According to him, the negotiations are going well. Trump noted that Tehran has expressed its willingness to give up nuclear weapons and is committed to peace.
In addition, he said that the US military would temporarily suspend strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure amid negotiations between Washington and Tehran. Trump added that the United States and Iran had held two days of fruitful negotiations to resolve the conflict.
