A pensioner was killed in the Zaporozhye region as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on March 23 by the governor of the region Evgeny Balitsky.

"Information has been received about the barbaric shelling by the Kiev regime. <...> Unfortunately, there are dead people — a woman born in 1955," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to the governor, the strike hit the village of Mikhaylovka, as a result of the incident, six residential buildings were also damaged. In addition, Balitsky recalled that residents whose property was damaged are entitled to compensation.

Earlier that day, the governor of the Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that five civilians, including an employee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, were injured as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes. According to him, the victims were sent for examination to Belgorod City Hospital No. 2. He also noted that a Gazelle car was damaged as a result of the attack.
