The Brussels-Midi railway station was evacuated after the discovery of one or more suspicious packages on the train and on the platform; the movement of trains and vehicles of STIB (Brussels Public Transport Company) was suspended. This was announced on March 23 by the RTBF television and radio company.

"A suspicious package was found on a train en route to Antwerp. Railway traffic in the direction of Brussels-Midi station and back was interrupted," said the representative of the Infrabel railway company, Frederic Sacre.

According to the federal police, two suspicious packages were actually found: one on the train and the other directly on the platform. The circumstances of the discovery of these "suspicious items" have not yet been clarified. An explosive device disposal squad arrived at the scene.

On February 2, AHaber TV channel reported on a subway train that derailed in Istanbul's Esenler district. According to the TV channel, all passengers were evacuated, there were no injuries. Restoration work was carried out on the spot.
