A man was killed by a train on railway tracks in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

A 34-year-old man was killed in a train collision in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This is reported by the Department of Transport of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Siberian Federal District.

The tragedy occurred last Sunday, March 22, on the stretch between Stolby – Divnogorsk stations. It was previously established that a 34-year-old man was crossing the tracks in front of an approaching train.

The driver beeped and applied emergency braking, but the collision could not be avoided. The pedestrian received various injuries, from which he died on the spot before the ambulance arrived, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.

Upon the death of a person, the Krasnoyarsk Investigative Department for Transport of the Eastern Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation is conducting an inspection, according to the results of which a decision will be made to institute a criminal case.

On March 19, an incident on the railway occurred in the Berezovsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The man was hit by a train and was seriously injured.
